HILAT navigates the feasibility process, delivers strategic business models, and designs renewable energy systems for Northern remote communities and projects. We do this because our team is northern based, northern experienced and northern focused. We understand the unique technical and socioeconomic challenges of the north and have the expertise, experience, and datasets to provide robust energy development solutions.
We would like to acknowledge that our head office is located
on the traditional territory of the Ta’an Kwäch’än and Kwanlin Dün First
Nations. We understand that there are many injustices faced by First Nations
today because of how land development and dispossession happened in the past. We
hope to move forward by acknowledging these past injustices exist and need to
be remedied as part of our work.
We will always strive to centre our projects around the
needs of local communities, and ensure that renewable energy can be used as a
foundational stone for building lasting positive change in the communities and
territories in which we serve.
